I was sitting around and thinking that, maybe once we get some more songs up and stuff, how are we going to learn them? I'm sure the people that write them have a specific melody in mind when composing, so it could work by humming it or singing it for the people to learn it. But I was thinking about what if we used Skype or some other form of audio chat? This way, the person that wrote the song could go into a conference call with the people needed for the song and sing it to them a few times or whatever. Sometimes the audio is a few seconds delayed, so it might not work too well when it comes to practicing it with the other characters, but it could still be worth a shot?
I dunno, what did you all have in mind?

One program that PWTM uses is teamspeak. It's free to download and you dont need to register. Also, its a pretty small sized program and easy to use. But what we did generally was have the original songwriter post up a recording on the now-nonexistent-putfile, and we all just listen to them to learn them. Now we've been using mediafire and 4shared. Hope that answered your question?

Just noticed to get a teamspeak server isn't free. XD
So I guess skype or AIM would have to do for team meetings.
Maybe we could start having weekly meetings on AIM? I'm thinking sunday nights, but we;d have to see what works for everyone.

I would like to inquire how easy it is to get ahold of AIM...

Extremely. :3 Just go to AOL.com and click AIM in the sidebar. From there, click "sign up now" and register. After you're done, no need to download AIM. Just go to meebo.com and sign in. Only problem with saturday nights is that that's the PWTM art meetings. But those may be finished soon. ;D

Also, when I start up school again, if I decide to do the musicals on campus I'll have rehearsals on Saturday evenings, but that doesn't matter for now as that won't start until at least October

Hmm, looking at the Skype website, it's free to download, works with most computers... But the problem is the number of people it allows you to speak with (four).
Personally, I somehow think it would be a lot less troublesome to exchange numbers, but that's a bit silly...

It only allows you to speak to four...? I've talked to five or six people at once before on it... xD;;

...Now that is interesting.
In any case, we certainly need to get something set up, because this website has been the proverbial ghost town... much like my project.

It is. -3-
I think it's mostly because it's all people from livejournal who would rather have a community. *shrugs*
But then again, it's not gonna get going very quickly. It took months before the PW musical had anything, and that was set up on court records! D:

I can put an ad up on the RP board I'm on - and if you think there's enough of a cross fanbase from PW to PL, maybe put up an ad on the other project? We may not be getting a lot of blood*shotshotshot* because people don't know this is even here.

But then again, I am sort of notorious there for being the Layton fangirl.
